HI Graham

Just musing between some surfing regarding finding the right wheels for my latest car project http://landroverkaty.blogspot.com/ and spotted your blog.

it's been a while since we were together in South Wales and it's good to hear about your latest projects

It amused because it just took the main dealer 3 weeks to sort a similar issue with the Suzuki.. Yes it's still on the road despite dropping it into a few more ditches whilst "playing" offroad since you saw it.

Like you I am currently juggling about 5 things I would like to take to fruition. Most involve leaving the day job behind so I can finally get on top of all the blogs, websites, writing and just get out and take more pictures ... just 3 more years on the mortgage and maybe I will

Anyway.. having found you again I'll be certain to drop back

Fab first-day-of-filming read. Glad it went so well and it's made me even more excited about getting on set with the rest of the 'family' / team! I felt the lovely vibes when we had our get-together. Great team players have been chosen for this delightful feature and Isabelle will shine. When the cast and crew are a happy bunch the audience love the vibes of the film all the more, they can sense it. The hard work will pay off and it will soon be time to deservingly bask in the light . . . see you on set. SARA x

www.emmaelizaregan.webs.com

it is not until the right actor reads out the lines in a rehearsal studio for the first time that I actually get to see them and hear their voices. It is like meeting a penpal for the first time after years of exchanging letters
And that is where the surprise kicks

Graham, It doen not only happen in the UK; In France they are banishing the "accent aigu" this year....need to learn to spell in French again, after they already changed the spelling rules in Dutch some 10 years ago. (and 2 years later they changed the rules again, as no one understood the logic) Purpose: make life easier, but I think indeed they are always making life more difficult at the end if the logic is gone
...So, my vote is dual: I agree if it makes life easier and rules are getting more logic, but not agreeing if they make it more difficult at the end.
(one advantage: if you spell wrong now...you can always claim that you did not understand the new rules)

Reminds me of the time when we needed to learn word perfect (during lunch time as we had no IT classes anyhow) that was outdated already for some years....
Times do not change apparantly.....

I've always believed you don't know databases until you've done Boyce-Codd normal form and that your first website should be written with a text editor.

Obviously I don't build websites in Notepad now but in theory I could if needed. I don't think it's limited to IT though. I notice that even programmes like Horizon are terrified of showing an equation and go to extraordinary lengths to avoid such things.

How tragic if our drive for inclusion makes us force intellect into cthonic obscurity.
